5th & 6th Grade Curriculum

5th and 6th grades learns general science. They build upon their knowledge from 5th grade. The order in which we cover the topics is: Chemistry, Earth Science, Physics, and Life Science. To prepare the girls for the 8th grade state science test, many of their assessment include 8th grade state science test questions and Living Environment Regents questions. This challenges and helps them get acquainted with the language of the state tests.

7th Grade Curriculum

7th Grade learns Life Science. Some topics we will cover are Living Things, Cell Processes, Heredity, Genetics, Body Systems, and Ecology. To challenge the girls many of their assessments will include Living Environment Regents questions, as the students take the Living Environment regents.

8th Grade Curriculum

8th Grade learns Earth Science. Some topics we will cover are Earth's waters, Mapping the Earth, Rocks and Minerals, Plate Tectonics, Weather and Climate, and Astronomy. We will also review topics for the 8th grade state science test. Throughout the year we review chemistry and physics. To challenge the girls many of their assessments will include Earth Science Regents questions.
